WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SURGERY ?

Most patients bend the knee the day of the surgery in a continuous passive motion machine and walk the second or third day after knee replacement surgery.

WHEN IS THE DISCHARGE ?

Discharge from the hospital is on day 5/6 after single knee and day 10 /11 for both knee replacements.

DO WE PERFORM SINGLE STAGE , BOTH KNEES ?

WHEN WILL I WALK WITH OUT SUPPORT?

Patients need to use a walker for 2-3 weeks and a cane for another 2- 3 weeks post surgery , then they can be independent of any support .
